RSS Feeds and Email Updates

Log Files and Stats

Like most blogging platforms I use log files, in this case Statcounter and Google Analytics. This stores information such as internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring, exit and visited pages, platform used, date/time stamp, tracks readers’ movements on the whole, and gathers broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on a readers’ computer tied to information about that reader. This site doesn’t use cookies. However:

  • The DoubleClick DART cookie is used by Google in the ads served on this website displaying AdSense for content ads through the search box. When you visit an AdSense publisher’s website and either view or click on an ad, a cookie may be dropped on your browser. The data gathered from these cookies will be used to help AdSense publishers better serve and manage the ads on their site(s) and across the web.
